Individually and with others, students… Describe ways people can increase productivity by using improved capital goods and improving their human capital.

Not a focus of Third Grade's lessons, so no weeks are listed.

What it means for your child

This standard asks children to describe how better tools and skills help people produce more. Third Grade's lessons do not focus on it.

Try it at home

1. Compare raking leaves by hand with using a leaf blower.
2. Ask, 'How does practice help you do a task faster?'
3. Talk about a tool that makes a job at home easier.
