D2.His.6.3-5: See how points of view shape historical sources.
Official text
Individually and with others, students… Describe how people's perspectives shaped the historical sources they created.
Not a focus of Third Grade's lessons, so no weeks are listed.
What it means for your child
This standard asks children to describe how people's points of view shaped the sources they created. Third Grade's lessons do not focus on it.
Try it at home
- Compare two family members' stories about the same trip.
- Look at an old advertisement and ask who made it and why.
- Ask, 'Would a diary tell the whole story?'
