- Find the hidden question: How many crayons in all?
- Step 1: 3 × 8 = 24.
- Step 2: 24 − 5 = 19. Amara has 19 crayons.
Write the hidden question for each problem.

English Language Arts
I can find the lines and stanzas in a poem.
Look: Poetry words
- A line is one row of words in a poem. The poet is the person who wrote it.
- A stanza is a group of lines, with a blank space after it.
- Count lines in the whole poem. Count stanzas by the groups.
Puddle Day
The rain has stopped. The clouds roll by. A puddle holds a piece of sky. I lean right over, close and slow, And see my face look up below. I jump! The sky breaks into bits. It splashes Grandma's woolen mitts. She laughs and shakes her soggy hands, Then jumps in too, right where she stands. The puddle settles, smooth and still. It holds the sky. It always will.

Kofi's Saturdays
Kofi's family speaks Twi and English at home. On Saturdays, Kofi's grandpa cooks a big pot of jollof rice, a spicy rice dish from West Africa. After lunch, Kofi plays soccer with his cousins in the park. In the evening, the family sings songs while his uncle plays the drums. These things are all part of Kofi's family's culture.
