    English Language Arts

I can compare two texts and discuss which one taught me more.

    Two Texts About Monarch Butterflies

Text A, How a Monarch Grows: A monarch starts as a tiny egg on a leaf. A caterpillar hatches and eats and grows. Next, it forms a chrysalis. About two weeks later, a butterfly comes out. Text B, Monarchs Need Milkweed: Monarch caterpillars eat only milkweed leaves, so mother monarchs lay their eggs on milkweed. When fields of milkweed are mowed or paved, fewer caterpillars survive. People help by planting milkweed in yards and parks.

    Use both texts.
