    Social Studies · Unit 5 · Weeks 25–30 · 30–35 min

    Economics

    43 points total · Name: ____________________ Date: __________

    For the adult

You may read every item, every choice and every source box aloud. This test checks social studies thinking, not reading, so reading aloud is always fine, and your child may answer out loud while you write the words. Section 3 describes three maps of a made-up state in words: a resource map, a population map and a climate map. Your child may sketch them on scrap paper, and the best answers name which map a clue came from. Sections 2 and 4 have money math; play money or scrap paper is welcome, and a correct answer with the work shown earns full points. Answers in dollars should include the dollar sign or the word "dollars." Use the scoring notes under each section, add up the points, and find the level at the end. If your child earns less than half of the points in a section, go back to the weeks and days listed for that section.
