English Language Arts
I can review characters, setting, sequence, traits and central message with a new story.
The Bake Sale
On a hot Friday afternoon, Ezra and his friend Lin ran a table at the school fair. Lin had baked cupcakes with tall swirls of pink frosting. Ezra brought plain oatmeal cookies. By two o'clock, the sun was blazing. The frosting melted into sticky puddles. Ezra's cookies stayed neat in their box, and soon a line of families formed. "Let's share the money," Ezra said, handing Lin half. "Next time, we'll bake together."
