Develop models to describe that organisms have unique and diverse life cycles but all have in common birth, growth, reproduction, and death.

What it means for your child

Your child makes models to show that plants and animals have different life cycles, but all are born, grow, reproduce and die.

Try it at home

1. Plant a bean seed in a clear cup and draw it every few days.
2. Watch a video about a frog or butterfly life cycle and draw the stages in a circle.
3. Compare the life cycle of a chicken with that of a bean plant. What is the same?
